Our client in Downtown LA is looking for talented Architects & Job Captains for full-time employment. They have offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, they work across California and the world. Their studio environment combined with large firm resources fosters collaboration and encourages creative thinking while their size and diversity of practice offers broad opportunities for professional development. Current projects encompass a variety of markets including mixed-use and multifamily housing, hospitality, arts & entertainment, higher education, commercial and custom homes. They are currently expanding their community of practice, looking for talented, well-rounded, driven Project Architects and Job Captains who can lead with boldness, innovate with purpose, insist on rigor, make it about people, practice environmental stewardship, and direct a collaborative process.

Qualified candidates for the Project Architect positions will have 7-10 years of experience, a professional degree in architecture, and are or intend to become both licensed and LEED® accredited. Candidates must have demonstrated experience with all phases of the design and documentation process including consultant coordination and the ability to inspire, lead and manage interdisciplinary design teams and client representatives. Ideal candidate portfolios would include built mixed-use, multifamily residential projects in and around Los Angeles.

They are also seeking Job Captains with 5-8 years of professional experience in an architectural practice, ideally with 2 years of multifamily residential experience- both San Francisco and Los Angeles. They are looking for talented, driven Job Captains well on their way to leading with boldness, innovating with purpose, insisting on rigor, making it about people, practicing environmental stewardship, and able to work effectively independently as well as within a highly collaborative process. Their ideal candidate will have experience with both new construction and adaptive reuse, Revit proficiency, and experience in putting sets together at all stages of design and documentation, as well as coordinating consultants and project teams/deadlines. 

Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor of Architecture degree required. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe CS. 
Knowledge of construction documentation methods.
Knowledge of Type V construction, including appropriate products, specifications, and detailing.
Experience with consultant coordination, including structural, civil, landscape, lighting, mechanical, geotechnical and surveyors.
LEED AP preferred, but experience working on LEED projects and a commitment to become LEED AP welcome too.
Exceptional communication skills are a must - graphic, oral and written.
